The strength of Our Woodville is found in it’s history and traditions, while it’s future rests in it’s relevance and innovation. Our distinctiveness is our diversity, future-focused thinking, our spirit of innovation and a sense of belonging. At Woodville High School, educating the heart is just as important as developing the cognitive aspects (our minds). We value the qualities that make us human (our hearts) as this ultimately give us meaning in our lives. This informs what we teach, how we teach it and what we value.

This Strategic Plan differs from others as it draws on our history and purpose outlined in our motto Ad Astra per Aspera, which is the golden thread throughout its history that will lead us to the future that we aspire to.

Our strategic plan acts as our anchor point to drive improvement, innovation, and renewal in each of our four aspirational constellations for excellence and equity, while holding tight on our core values, our purpose and our why. The four constellations are the patterns we are forming to provide a learning environment where every child’s needs, interests, capabilities and aspirations are valued and nurtured.

Strategic Implementation Plan

Our strategic implementation plan is crucial for turning our strategic plan into reality. Our strategic vision holds true to the school’s 110 years of history and rich traditions.

The Annual Implementation Plan supports us to:

Convert a strategic plan at a conceptual level into actionable steps, activities, and tasks.
Achieve our vision and mission – our purpose and our why.
Establish timelines and milestones and makes actions, tasks and steps time-bound and trackable.
Identify potential obstacles or challenges and proactively addresses them.
Provide a framework for measuring progress towards the objectives and evaluating impact and success.
Ensure judicious allocation of adequate resources for all the actions, tasks and steps.

Middle Years

At Woodville High School, the Middle Years represent an exciting stage of growth and opportunity for students in Years 7 to 9. Our supportive learning community is focused on nurturing every student’s potential while fostering a strong sense of belonging and personal development.

Senior Years

The journey from Year 10 to 12 is an exciting one for every young person and we feel very honoured to be part of it with you. We believe that the journey should be one that is enriching, inspiring and where every senior school student will cultivate the capabilities, skills and dispositions that will enable them to thrive as they navigate an ever-changing world.

Special Interest Music

Woodville High School is a designated Special Interest Music Centre. The Music Centre offers a wide range of specialist music courses to cater for the varied needs of its student population.
