There are many opportunities in Woodville High School for students to have agency where their values, opinions, beliefs, perspectives, and cultural backgrounds are valued, heard and nurtured.

Leadership Charter
The Student Leadership Charter aims to:

Leadership Portfolios
How to apply
The Student Leadership Application Process starts at the beginning of Term 3, enabling students to apply for the variety of Leadership positions. The roles students can apply for include:
- Head/Deputy Head Prefect for the Senior Years (Year 12 students only)
- Head/Deputy Head Prefect for the Middle Years (Year 9 students only)
- Student House Captain (Year 11 students, one for each house)
- Year 12 Music Captain (Year 12 students only)
- Year 11 Music Captain (Year 11 students only)
- Year 12 International Captain (Year 12 students only)
- Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Portfolio (one position available at each year level from Year 7-12)
- Environmental Portfolio (one position available at each year level from Year 7-12)
- Co-Curricular Portfolio (one position available at each year level from Year 7-12)
- Community Engagement Portfolio (one position available at each year level from Year 7-12)
- Global Citizenship Portfolio (one position available at each year level from Year 7-12)
- Learning Portfolio (one position available at each year level from Year 7-12)
- Wellbeing Portfolio (one position available at each year level from Year 7-12)
The timeline for the application process in Term 3 is:
Week 3 – A letter is sent home to families regarding the application process
Week 4 – The application form becomes available via SEQTA
Week 5 – The application process closes
Week 6 – The shortlisting process for positions commences
Week 7 & 8 – Interviews are conducted for shortlisted applicants
Week 9 – The Principal distributes letters to shortlisted applicants in relation to the outcome
Week 10 – The Principal announces the new Student Leadership Team
