Attendance and Timetable

At Woodville High School, regular attendance and punctuality reflect our commitment to integrity and resilience.

Student Attendance & Absences

Families can support by ensuring all absences from school are minimal and are explained by completing the absence form on SEQTA. The form can be accessed following the reporting absence link below.

Attendance is monitored through the school’s SEQTA program. The school sends an automatic SMS text message to parents/ caregivers if the students is absent without explanation.

School hours at Woodville High School are 8.40 am – 3.10 pm, except for Wednesday when students finish at 2.20 pm. Planned absences should be communicated to the House Group teacher in advance.

Reporting Absences

If your child is absent please notify the school by 9:25am on the day of absence. Absences can be reported by completing the form on SEQTA or by phoning the school. If we do not receive communication that your child is absent with a reason they are marked as absent unexplained. Text messages alerting you to unexplained absences are sent out at 9:30am every day.

The Woodville High School Governing Council has approved early closure on Wednesday afternoons to support staff professional development for school improvement.

Middle Years

At Woodville High School, the Middle Years represent an exciting stage of growth and opportunity for students in Years 7 to 9. Our supportive learning community is focused on nurturing every student’s potential while fostering a strong sense of belonging and personal development.

Senior Years

The journey from Year 10 to 12 is an exciting one for every young person and we feel very honoured to be part of it with you. We believe that the journey should be one that is enriching, inspiring and where every senior school student will cultivate the capabilities, skills and dispositions that will enable them to thrive as they navigate an ever-changing world.

Special Interest Music

Woodville High School is a designated Special Interest Music Centre. The Music Centre offers a wide range of specialist music courses to cater for the varied needs of its student population.
