GOVERNING COUNCIL
As a public school under the South Australian Department for Education, the Woodville High School Governing Council works closely with the Principal and the Executive team to determine the School's Guiding Statement and the school strategic directions.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE GOVERNING COUNCIL

Parents/caregivers are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of the governing council on Wednesday 3 March 2021 6:00pm being held in Room N37/38. The Annual General Meeting provides a valuable opportunity for parents / caregivers to receive information and reports regarding the work that the school undertakes and to elect parents and 3 community members to the 2021 governing council committee.

The governing council performs a range of functions including:
  • involving the school community in the governance of the school
  • setting the broad direction and vision of the school
  • strategic planning for the school
  • determining policies for the school, including policies for safety, welfare, wellbeing and discipline of students
  • determining the application of the total financial resources available to the school, including regular review of the budget
  • reporting to the school community and the Minister.

If you would like to nominate as a parent representative on the Governing Council please complete the nomination form in the link below by either bringing it to the AGM on Wednesday 3 March 2021 or emailing Milena Popov on Milena.Popov888@schools.sa.edu.au. Nominations close Tuesday 2 March 2021.
NOMINATION FORM
There are two meetings per term,  beginning at 6.00 pm - 8.30 pm.

The Governing Council is made up of parent, community, staff, student and local council members who are representative of the diversity of the school's population. Further links to the school's culturally diverse populations are enabled through specific parents groups such as Aboriginal, African, European and Vietnamese parent groups who report to the Governing Council. These are excellent forums for  wide consultation by the Governing body.
